African Digital Heritage is glad to be a part of the ICCROM’s Sustaining Digital Heritage (SDH) launch event that will be taking place on the 18th of July 2022 at 16:00 EAT. The launch event will explain how Sustaining Digital Heritage will build capacities and a cross-sectoral network. At the event, an institutional self-scan, “the sustainability test,” featuring industry leaders, innovators and changemakers will also be introduced.
Our Director, Chao Tayiana Maina, is privileged to be a part of the panel discussing The Sustainability Model of the Sustaining Digital Heritage programme alongside Kara Van Malssen of AVP, Irfan Zuberi of National Cultural Audiovisual Archives, India and Kacey Hadick of CyArk.
DH aims to enhance capacities for the long-term preservation of heritage in the digital domain, as well as to promote its equitable use as a source of creativity, knowledge and well-being for present and future generations. Built in collaboration with AVP (USA) and the Netherlands Institute of Sound and Vision (NISV), the new programme will bridge digital divides by giving professionals and institutions the knowledge and strategies to enhance their digital programmes.
